Inside looking out is an on-going body of work collaborating with communities connected to the past and present River Irwell, from its very beginnings of a stream in Bacup to the point it reaches my own studio window in Salford.
This initial works reflects the story of Beth Fielding, the daughter of a bookbinder whose house looked out onto the river where he worked and lived for over 35 years. With each story a domestic object is created celebrating the individuals of the Irwell. I hope long term to co-create a full living room of these once hidden stories .
